MBA in Advanced Project Management (MBA in APM)

Programme Duration: 2 Years Full Time

Projects are undertaken in the public and private sectors to meet the economic needs of industry and society. It offers immense potential for project business all over the world. Managing projects of large scale is a vital key to successful project delivery in a variety of sectors. Achieving excellence and innovations in the infrastructure, industrial, financial and service sectors requires skills and sound knowledge of advanced project management theory and practice.

The focus of the programme is on large and complex engineering and non-engineering projects, which require specialised human resources. Competent project professionals are required to manage and lead the project successfully. The programme adopts a multidisciplinary approach comprising project management and systems engineering so that budding project managers are prepared to work in different sectors of the industry. Industry-ready project professionals are employed in oil and gas, software development, manufacturing, energy, infrastructure and construction including clients, contracting and consulting organisations. Such trained manpower is also required by various organisations for education, health care and management of rural projects. The MBA APM addresses the techno-managerial needs of various projects in different sectors of the industry. Graduates from different streams like Engineering, Planning, Architecture, Computer & IT, Science, Commerce, Arts, Pharmaceutical and Agriculture etc. after completing this programme gain a multidisciplinary exposure which will facilitate their contribution while working on modern-day projects.

1.    Students have to choose three subjects of General Electives, two subjects of Programme Electives and two subjects of Domain Electives in Semester III.

4.    The seminar and project work are to be undertaken and completed during Semester III and Semester IV.
