MBA in Real Estate and Urban Infrastructure Management (MBA in REUIM)
Programme Duration: 2 Years Full Time
The MBA REUIM is a focused programme addressing the complex and changing needs of real estate and urban infrastructure sectors. With the ever-growing real estate and urban infrastructure sector, the urban and rural landscape of India is in for a revolution. The government has been taking several initiatives to strengthen the real estate and infrastructure sectors. Therefore, there is undoubtedly a large demand for real estate professionals and experts in urban infrastructure. Real estate is known to be a complex activity. It contributes substantially towards a nation’s economic growth. The proposal for creation of a number of smart cities in India is also going to create a need for qualified professionals in this area.
The multi-disciplinary MBA REUIM builds upon the concepts and methodologies of management, engineering, architecture, planning, legal aspects, information technology, applied economics and behavioural sciences. It combines theory with practice and facilitates analytical learning through the programme’s academic structure.
The curriculum is a blend of theoretical and applied courses focusing on the areas of real estate and urban infrastructure management. Subjects from general management help to enrich the programme with a strong business and project management orientation. It is further strengthened with summer internship and project work undertaken by the students. Theoretical courses aim to improve the students' understanding of fundamental principles and relationships that characterise the changing world in which managers must operate. Applied courses, link the theoretical study to practical problems in the two sectors.
