PGP HS: Post Graduate Programme in Health and Safety
One-year, full time, residential programme for degree holders, offered from Pune.
The objective of this Post Graduate Programme is to produce a professionally qualified and trained professional to take care of health and safety issues in operating projects and shall have the competency:
- To develop technical skills to handle projects related to health and safety risks, industrial hygiene, Industrial hazards, occupational health risk management and safety and health legislation.
- To guide and assist the site managers / engineers to make their sites safe and accident free.
- To train personnel in safety, undertake safety surveys and design suitable documents for recording and promoting safety at the work place.
- To enhance competency in handling fire and electrical safety and safety in construction sites.
- To establish the learning experience within the context of construction application, thus enabling the integration of theoretical knowledge and understanding with best industrial practice including health, safety and environment sustainability.
