Following merit scholarships are instituted at NICMAR.
The Institute offers ‘NICMAR Top Rankers’ Scholarship’, ‘NICMAR Excalibur Award Scholarship’ and ‘NICMAR Merit Scholarship’ to its students. Also, Jameel Education Foundation (JEF), Saudi Arabia is offering full tuition fee for two selected students from the minority community at the Institute
Students will be eligible for only one award/scholarship for a particular academic term.
Companies that accept students for internship (as applicable) generally offer allowances/stipends during the training period.
NICMAR Top Ranker’s Scholarship
NICMAR announces ‘Top Rankers’ Scholarship’ for the full time post graduate programmes in 2022. This scholarship is available for students willing to pursue any of NICMAR’s full time post graduate programmes. The criteria of Top Rankers’ Scholarship for the applicants are as follows:

Applicants can request for NICMAR Top Rankers’ Scholarship according to their marks in class 10th, 12th/Diploma and Graduation at the time of filling the application form for admission 2022. Eligible candidates will get confirmation for the same after verifying their academic records with mark sheets submitted. Eligible applicants need to go through the admission process [NICMAR Common Admission Test (NCAT), Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI)]. Selection of candidates is done on the basis of merit. The merit list is drawn on the basis of performance in NCAT, GD, PI, and Rating of Application (RA). Admission offer letters are issued in the order of merit. The RA is calculated on the basis of weighted scores of the cumulative academic performance along with work experience (as applicable) obtained from the documents submitted to NICMAR by the candidates. Selected candidates for the NICMAR Top Rankers’ Scholarship will get offer letter for admission as per their eligibility.
This scholarship will not be offered to any student who postpones his/her admission to NICMAR’s full time post graduate programmes for any reasons whatsoever. Students with scholarship must comply with the following requirements for continuance of scholarship in subsequent academic terms. Breach of any of these conditions will disqualify the student for the same and will make the student forfeit the scholarship. In such a case, the student will have to pay the necessary fees for the next academic term. The scholarship will be restored in subsequent term/s, depending on the fulfilment of the conditions stated below:
- The awardees’ attendance in any course of study shall not be less than 80%.
- Awardees should pass the term in the first attempt.
- Term Performance Index (TPI) should be 8.5 or above.
- The awardees shall have no adverse comments/grading on record from the disciplinary committee for any reason whatsoever.
- No gaps/break in terms whatsoever during the entire programme are permissible.
- The awardees shall maintain high standards of conduct and behaviour and conform to the discipline of the Institute, as laid down in the ‘Code of Conduct’ of the Institute.
NICMAR Excalibur Award Scholarship
A special award is being offered by the Institute to stimulate excellence and scholarship of the highest order amongst the student community of NICMAR. The award is titled ‘Excalibur Award Scholarship’. It is awarded to the students securing the highest rank amongst all students of ACM [Pune, Hyderabad (Shamirpet), Goa (Farmagudi) and Delhi NCR (Bahadurgarh) campuses], EPM [Pune and Hyderabad (Shamirpet)], REUIM and IFDM programmes. The award is presented term-wise and it consists of waiver of full tuition fees and hostel fees for the term in which the student has secured the highest rank. Award will be given on the basis of Term Performance Index (TPI). In case of a tie, the student having higher Cumulative Performance Index (CPI) will be given the Excalibur award. In case there is a tie even on the CPI, the student securing the highest number of ‘AA’ grade followed by the highest number of ‘AB’ grade will be given the award. If the tie still continues, the student getting the highest marks in the concerned term end exam will be given the Excalibur award.
NICMAR Merit Scholarship Scheme :
These rules have been framed by the institute, in order to operate and disburse scholarships to the students of full time two-year post graduate programmes offered by NICMAR.

Criteria and Rules for Award of Scholarships
- Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of the Term Performance Index (TPI) of the concerned academic term.
- A merit list will be prepared based on the TPI, of top 10% students of all the full time two year post graduate programmes of Pune, Hyderabad (Shamirpet), Goa (Farmagudi) and Delhi NCR (Bahadurgarh) and scholarships will be awarded as detailed in Table 1.
- In case of any tie amongst the candidates on the same TPI, merit will be determined on the basis of Cumulative Performance Index (CPI). In case of a tie in CPI, the student securing the maximum number of grade ‘AA’ followed by the maximum number of grade ‘AB’ will be given preference. After that, if the tie continues, the scholarship amount will be split evenly amongst the candidates concerned.
- Award of scholarship will be decided after the declaration of each term end examination results.
- The scholarship will be paid after the declaration of the results.

The awardees of the scholarship may be assigned academic work of such nature and duration as may be decided by the Head of the programme concerned, keeping in mind the overall need to keep such assigned work to a minimum level possible.
The merit holders for Excalibur Award Scholarship and Award of Merit Scholarship should fulfil the following conditions. Breach of any one of these conditions shall make them liable to be disqualified for the award of scholarship.
- The awardees’ attendance in any course of study shall not be less than 80%.
- The awardees shall have no adverse comments/grading on record from the disciplinary committee for any reason whatsoever.
- Any act of indiscipline shall make the awardees liable to forfeiture of the award.
- The decision of the PGP Executive Committee shall be final and binding on all parties concerned, subject to the approval by the Director General.
- The awardees shall maintain high standards of conduct and behaviour and conform to the discipline of the Institute, as laid down in the Code of Conduct.
- The decision of the PGP Executive Committee regarding the forfeiture/suspension of the award shall be final, subject to the approval by the Director General. In case of any grievances, the student may apply to the Director General. Such cases will be finalised by the Academic Council. No appeal will be allowed against the decision of the Academic Council.
Jameel Education Foundation (JEF), Saudi Arabia: Offering full tuition fee for two selected students from the minority community
NICMAR is glad to announce that Jameel Education Foundation (JEF), Saudi Arabia is offering full tuition fee for two selected students, for the entire duration of the full time two year Post Graduate Programme in Advanced Construction Management (PGP ACM). The tuition fee is available for students of minority community, admitted to the full time two year PGP ACM programme. NICMAR will recommend top 4 students from the minority community securing the highest rank in NICMAR’s admission process, out of which two can be selected by JEF for the award of tuition fee. In the event two suitable candidates are not found, JEF can select even one candidate for the tuition fee. If the students offered the tuition fee, discontinue or postpone the admission for any reasons whatsoever, the tuition fee will be terminated and will not be offered to any other student.
