This inter-disciplinary programme of studies builds upon the concepts and methodologies of management, engineering, architecture, law, information technology, social and behavioral sciences and combines theory with practical experience and research work. The programme is structured to prepare NICMAR graduates for undertaking professional responsibilities demanding high proficiency in skills of application of latest technology, people management, project finance, international markets -all with a special reference to infrastructure development and real estate projects. Post Graduate Programme in Project Engineering Management (PGP PEM) title has been changed to Post Graduate Programme in Engineering Project Management (PGP EPM) for next intake to align with widely accepted terminology in academia and industry. The new title also reflects the focus on engineering projects with respect to the aspects of the project management practices applicable to all domains including Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and others.

The objective of the Programme is to train young and dynamic graduate engineers to develop them into mature and knowledgeable professional project managers with the potential to manage large and complex projects in India or abroad, and enable them to shoulder responsibility in any functional capacity. NICMAR offers full time PGP-IFDM intensive professional programme in financing, developing and managing economic infrastructure projects with sector specific focus, that is tailor made to enterprise level needs. This contemporary programme contains four primary areas of knowledge pertaining to Smart Cities Planning and Development viz. Planning- Competitiveness - Governance and Management.
