School of Energy and Environment at NICMAR University, Pune is organizing a webinar on “NET ZERO CIRCULAR WATER FUTURE FOR INDIAN CITIES” on 23rd November 2022 (Wednesday) 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Cisco WebEx platform.
The topic relates to the domains of Environment, Sustainability and Water management. Battered with climate change and increased pollution, world is in a race to save the planet. United Nations and the Government are coming up with several policy framework at the global level to combat the challenges. Amid the Green Push world-wide, investments are growing in for Water Management, Net zero, Circular Economy Climate Tech Start-up’s. However, to understand the relationship and effective implementation one has to find out ground realities along with the challenges in the industry and the potential of the upcoming opportunities. This webinar focusses to bridge this gap and aims to discuss on ways to integrate policies and principles for betterment of society at large. An awareness on Sustainable Water management is the need of the hour for both professionals and young minds.
About the Speaker
DILIP G. SONWANE is a Post-Graduate in Environmental Engineering from VNIT Nagpur with over 25 years of consulting experience. Presently, he is working as Associate Vice President – Marketing with Tata Consulting Engineers Ltd, Mumbai. Handled various positions such as Sector Head Water, Environment, Urban Development and Delivery Centre Head at Mumbai 247 location. His domain expertise includes Integrated Infrastructure planning for Greenfield and Brownfield developments, Smart Cities. planning for water supply, leakage management and utility infrastructure for towns, cities, metros. He was associated with major infrastructure developments projects including first privatised water project for Tirupur, Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor Projects, ADB Funded Integrated Infrastructure RUIDP project, Mahindra World City, World Bank/IDA funded Hyderabad & Kathmandu leakage management project, many townships & Smart city projects. He is Fellow Member, Chartered Engineer, Member of professional bodies including Indian Water Works Association (IWWA), Institution of Engineers (IEI) and Indian Plumbing Association. He has written articles in various Journals and shared experiences as a Speaker at various forums. Prior to TCE, he was associated with Mahindra Acres Consulting Engineers and National Environmental Engineering Research Institute Nagpur.
